Who are we?

We are a group of people who are fanatical about the SsangYong brand who formed the club to promote our mutual benefit in the club and the     brand.     

What do we do?

We arrange and organise social events and outings for our members. The SsangYong Owners Club encourages SsangYong owners in other regions to form affiliated clubs. Members may also arrange outings, which the Club will publish on their website.

What is the Club's history?

The SsangYong Owners Club was formed in December 2001, in Gauteng, South Africa. At the AGM of 2002 it was decided to turn the Club into a Regional Club, namely the SsangYong Owners Club (Gauteng). It is our hope that we can inspire other regions to also form Regional Clubs. The Club is now known as the SsangYong Owners Club.

How to become a member?

The pre-requisite to become a MEMBER is that you need to own a SsangYong vehicle.

 

Follow the "Join the Club" link on the right hand side. The process basically is:

1. You complete the membership questionnaire.

2. You will be mailed by our Club secretary,  with confirmation of your Club membership.

3. Membership from 2005 is free.

 

 

Events questions

Does the club take profits from events?

No. The SYOCG negotiates special pricing where possible. Such discounts are passed on directly to members.

 

May I bring friends to events?

Yes. Only SsangYong's may participate in parades and events. Your friends may join you for outings, but on the parades and routes only SsangYong vehicles are allowed. Should your friends also own a SsangYong vehicle, the only pre-requisite is that they also need to be members of the Club.

 

Website questions

Our goal is to attract Regions around the world to form their own Regional affiliated Clubs. Secondly, to create a departure point for all it's members to sell goods, swop goods, learn, advise and contribute generally to the knowledge base we're creating for all SsangYong members worldwide.

What may I trade on your pages?

If you are a member, you may trade your "personal" goods that are normally associated with outdoor or 4x4 activities, such as tents, tyres and bumpers etc. You may not use the Club website to advertise the purchase or sale of ANY vehicles. 

You may place as many adds as you like. The only requirement is that you need to be a member of the Club.

Pictures are normally not accepted for the trading pages. If they are included, they should be less than 30k. See the section on photo sizes for tips.

You may not use this site to enhance your private business, unless such a service is related to our activities. Your services may then rather be reflected on our "www Links" section of our site. Transactions between persons are private, and the Club will not be responsible for any disputes that may arise between buyers & sellers.
